Doug Menezes is a creative director and filmmaker living Los Angeles, CA.
Doug grew up in Latin America and as a teenager he spent his time skateboarding around Brazil's government buildings, designing flyers for his punk rock band or trying to hack into the pre-internet BBS servers. After getting a Bachelor degree in Advertising, he joined the award-winning digital agency Agencia Click (Isobar) in his hometown. Within 4 years, he had joined TV1 and was already a Director leading a team of designers to take on the monumental task of redesigning the Banco do Brasil website, which at the time was the largest bank portal in Latin America.
Soon enough his work got international attention, which lead to him move to Dubai where he joined a design boutique shop called Xische, followed by Wunderman Dubai where he developed outstanding work for brands like Government of Dubai, Mars Chocolate and Land Rover.
In 2008, Doug created a new personal blog/portfolio that instantly got international acclaim within the design community. It was featured in hundreds of design blogs, magazines and forums.
He then, joined Crispin Porter Bogusky Boulder, CO. There, he worked in award winning campaigns for brands like Grey Poupon, Coke Zero, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Old Navy, American Express and Burger King.
Doug moved to TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles in 2013. He joined the creative team working on the 2014 World Cup campaign for Adidas and Gatorade. In 2016 he was became the Global Creative Director for the Gatorade account.
In 2021, Doug directed and produced “A Mammoth Dream” a docuseries that dives into the life of one of the greatest champions that Brazil has ever seen, Alison Cerutti - known as ‘The Mammoth’ of Beach Volleyball. The 4 episodes docuseries currently aired on live TV during the Olympics and recently was acquired by Paramount+ Latin America.
He then, joined Ogilvy as the Group Creative Director leading the California office.
His work has been honored multiple times at Cannes Lions, One Show, Clios, Andy's and D&AD. He also serves as a member of the Television Academy and a jury for the Emmy Awards and several advertising festivals.
